Open Banking Consent

Last updated: October 2025

FinHealth Coach connects to your bank securely through government-regulated Open Banking providers. When you choose to connect, you authorise us to access a read-only snapshot of certain financial data — never your login details or full account numbers.

What you authorise us to access

Through your chosen Open Banking provider, FinHealth Coach may read:

  • Account name and type (e.g. “Everyday Account”)
  • Masked account identifiers (e.g. xxxx1234)
  • Current balances
  • Transaction history (date, merchant, amount, description)

We never receive or store your credentials, full account numbers, BSBs, or Sort Codes. Access is read-only and strictly limited to the data you approve on your bank’s secure consent page.

Purpose of access

  • Provide personalised financial insights and budgeting tools
  • Detect spending patterns and track progress toward goals
  • Generate stress-management and wellness summaries (if enabled)

We do not sell or share your data. All processing happens in encrypted, regulated environments.

Our data partners

  • Australia: Basiq Pty Ltd — Accredited Data Recipient under the Consumer Data Right (CDR)
  • United Kingdom: TrueLayer Ltd and Tink AB — regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

These partners provide the secure bridge between your bank and FinHealth Coach.

How to revoke or delete

You’re in control at all times.

  • Go to Settings → Privacy → Bank Connections to revoke access. Revocation immediately stops any further syncing.
  • Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete My Data to permanently remove your information from our systems.

We’ll process deletion requests promptly and confirm completion by email.
